I represent a collective a non profit collective showing of works by young and upcoming, professionally minded urban artists in mixed media format in Brighton.
Requirements
We are looking for a space such as a retail shop or ground/ mezzanine floor area that is frequented by tourists and the curious and is accessible by public transport. We will be wanting to paint the shopfront windows with temporary paint, and the walls will be wanting fixtures of some sort to allow hooks for hanging work which can be later filled and painted over afterwards. If the landlord is agreeable, we would like to decorate the walls with paintings, then restore the walls to white at the end of our tennancy. If direct painting is disagreeable with the landlord, then we would use temporary 8x4' panel boards for this purpose. As we are limited in funds, we would also consider a reciprocal agreement where tenancy was exchanged (in part) for practical/ improvement works on the premises to a professional standard.
